To ensure safe drinking water in rural areas of Basantapur Union of Rajbari district, the International Voluntary Foundation – IVF has recently established 15 Tube wells in the second phase with the association of AMAN and financial assistance by Muntada Aid in Africa. It is metioned that IVF established 7 tube wells in the first phase.
Mr. Mohammad Nazrul Islam Shawon, CEO of IVF and Director of Baraka Specialized Hospital, inspected a tube well installed at Majlispur Primary School and officially inaugurated the second phase of IVF’s safe and drinkable water supply program.
Mr. Md. Abdus Salam Sheikh, local president of IVF, Mr. Abdus Shukur, headmaster of Majlispur Primary School, Mr. Sharif Uddin Ahmed, IVF coordinator, volunteers Md. Shukur, Md. Abdul Jabbar, local youth representatives and children of the school were also present at the time.
The installation of the tube wells was supported by the African donor organization Muntada Aid through the Association for Mass Advancement Network (AMAN).
The tube wells were installed in 2 primary schools, 1 high school, 2 Madrasas and Orphanages, 5 Eidgahs and graveyards and 2 Hindu and 3 Muslim poverty-stricken areas.
