
International Voluntary Foundation-IVF distributed Qurbani meat and food items to more than two hundred helpless and distressed families in 15 villages of 6 unions in Rajbari and Faridpur districts on the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Azha on 18 June at the IVF office premises in Basantapur Haat. Two cows were sacrificed and distributed among the needy.
Mr. Mohammad Nazrul Islam Shawon, Director and IVF CEO of Barakah Specialist Hospital in Dhaka, was present as the chief guest in the distribution program. Presided over by IVF local branch president Mr. Md. Abdus Salam Sheikh while IVF legal advisor Advocate Ahadul Islam Mia Ratan, IVF general secretary Md. Jalal Master, former local public representative and IVF volunteer Md. Musa Master, Md. Siddique Molla, Md. Sohrab Sheikh, Md. Saurabh Sheikh, engineer Md. Sajjad Hossain, village doctor Md. Nurul Alam, Monira Begum, Md. Shukur along with fifteen volunteers and eminent journalist Md. Imtiaz Ahmed were also present. IVF coordinator Sharif Uddin Ahmed coordinated the meat and food items distribution program.
Chief guest Mohammad Nazrul Islam said that many people from home and abroad are working tirelessly under the leadership of its chairman Mr. Akhtar Hossain to improve the fortunes of the poor people of these areas. They are constantly trying to help you in various ways. However, you have to work hard to improve your luck. You have to use both hands. This cooperation of IVF should be used to improve your quality of life.
